Every file sent through GeckoSend generates a unique security key that is tied to the sender’s and recipient’s email addresses. Before downloading anything, recipients can enter the key and both email addresses on our Validate Key page. If the key checks out, the email was genuinely sent through the GeckoSend system. If it doesn’t validate, the message did not come from GeckoSend — treat it as suspicious and do not download the file. This protects you and your recipients from fake or phishing emails pretending to be file transfers.
